SHEPHERDS & SERVANTS

Our Leadership

Biblical Leadership Through Qualified Elders

In Scripture, the New Testament identifies a unified leadership office expressed through multiple complementary titles—elder, overseer, and pastor. Together, these roles reflect Christ’s design for shepherding His church with spiritual wisdom, integrity, and faithful care.
At Big Darby Baptist Church, we embrace this Biblical model of shared leadership through a plurality of qualified elders. At this time, we have one elder serving our congregation, leading under the authority of Christ, the Head of the Church.

Will Coleman

LEAD PASTOR

Will Coleman serves as the pastor and elder of Big Darby Baptist Church, faithfully shepherding the congregation with a commitment to Scripture and Christ-centered leadership. He and his wife, Marianna, are blessed with three children—Daniel, Esther, and Phoebe.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies in Christian Counseling and Religion, as well as a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Liberty University. His training and devotion guide his ministry as he leads, teaches, and supports the church family.

Faithful Servants of Christ’s Church

DEACONS

Deacons serve as faithful ministers to the body of Christ, supporting the work of the church through practical care and service. Their role complements the elders as they help meet the needs of the congregation with compassion and humility.
Grounded in the example set in Acts 6, our deacons assist in strengthening the church through dedicated service, ensuring that the ministry of the Word and the care of God's people flourish. We are grateful to have three deacons serving at this time.
