Our Leadership

Elders

Under Christ, the Head of the Church, the New Testament recognizes one primary leadership office in the local church. Several complementary titles identify this office: elder, overseer, and pastor (Acts 20:17, 28; Ephesians 4:11–16; 1 Timothy 3:1–7; Titus 1:5–9; 1 Peter 5:1–2). The Biblical model of church leadership is found in a plurality of qualified elders. We have 1 elder at this present time.

Deacons

Deacons are called to be servants of the body of Christ. They assist the elders in ministering to the congregation. (Acts 6) We have 3 deacons at this time.

Elder / Pastor

Will Coleman is the pastor/elder of Big Darby Baptist Church. He is married to his lovely wife Marianna, and has three children, Daniel, Esther, and Phoebe. He has a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies in Christian Counseling and Religion, and a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Liberty University.
